Rosengarten

WEB: Visit Website

PRICE: free

“The rose, the queen of flowers, hosts a firework of colors in the rose garden every year. Over thousands of roses bloom in June and July. The diverse varieties ensure a variety of shapes and colors. The city gardeners have been trying out new types of roses since 1955. The plants first have to show whether they can tolerate the Munich climate. If they are robust enough, the gardeners plant them in large numbers in the urban flower beds.

The so-called "Staudental" is another special feature. Here the building department has designed a bed in which roses are combined with perennials, grasses and summer flowers. Between the plants, strips of pebbles run through the beds, reminiscent of dried up streams.”
