Letter from the Editor

By Jordan Sapir

Every time I heard the words from total strangers,”Enjoy it, it goes by so fast,” it made me cringe. “What do they know?” was my cynical, silent rebuttal. Well, come to find out, they were right. I’ve seen all the milestones whiz by and am asking myself where is my little baby, where did she go? I can imagine saying that for years to come. It’s made me sit back and realise how important it is to value every moment, every smile, giggle, pitter patter of tiny feet, frozen feet crawling into my bed at night. It’s also reminded me of the importance of being healthy and happy.

This year dedicate your most valuable moments to being in charge of your personal well being, reducing stress, increasing valuable and meaningful relationships.

Pick up the phone and invite a friend to have a coffee. Instead of venting online or in a chat call a friend who you know will lend you an ear and helpful advice. Set goals. Make plans and keep them. Cherish even the frustrating moments, because they won’t last. Your kid won’t be a toddler, tween or teenager forever.

This year chose to be present. It’s a New Year, A New You, A New Mom an Über Mom.
